Best Value for a tripod. Sold my carbon fibre tripod to get the BumbleBee. It is sturdy and tall enough when fully extended and yet light and short, when folded. It's innovative reverse folding mechanism enables the tripod to be shorter than others, making it very easy to keep and store away. The tension ballhead is also one of the best in its class, small yet smooth and strong.

It's a love-hate relationship with BambooPole. It is certainly one of the best value-for-money semi-pro tripods. However, I must admit that the legs are not as sturdy as Bumblebee, and the built is not as good as the others. However, for the low cost, it is certainly a good buy for beginners and amatuers. The ballhead is pretty good though, no problem holding a D700 + 85 1.4.

Especially designed for professional photographers, the original patented locking system is the most advanced among all the Fancier series products. Magnesium alloy and surface coated with hammer finish. It is light and capable of carrying up to a maximum load of 12kg. The ball head tension can be adjusted according to the load that it is carrying.
The centre rod can be removed and inserted horizontally, an important characteristic for low angle shooting. One of the legs can be removed to become a strong sturdy monopod and the free second ballhead can be used to mount on the monopod.
