Arik Chan, Singapore

Started photography in 1980, travel photography is his forte. The in-house photographer for the Police Life magazine in 1990 and have since 2003, conducted numerous computer related courses and photography workshops for TRACOM( formerly known as the Police Academy) and the Singapore Police Force. Hassan Najmy, Maldives (presently based in India)

Born in Addu Atoll when there was a British military base in Gan. Interested in photography at a young age, he was employed as an assistant in the photographic section of Gan. He learneddarkroom work and soon I got the job of the Assistant Station Photographer. As he was very young he, didn't develop to a full professional status when the British had to leave Gan.

He then came to the Capital of Male', where he got a photographers job for the only newspaper. Soon he became a photographer to the President in Maldives. He was in that job for 20 years and although officially retired, he is now doing digital photography and archival work.
